Library
Tairawhiti District Health now has a full-time Librarian, Tricia Sheehan, who was formerly with Lakes DHB in Rotorua. She wants the library to play its part in supporting primary and community-based care services. A plan for upgrading library services is being drafted and she will be talking to PHOs and others.
Even though nothing is yet formalised, practice nurses and other health care workers are welcome to come and use the library in person, or to phone or e-mail for articles, literature searches or other information.

or if coming in person, the Library is on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. Library hours are 8 am to 12 and 1 pm to 5 pm, but her lunch hour is flexible if you need to come between 12 and 1, just phone in advance.
