Aim of workshop:
This workshop is aimed at providing midwives and student midwives with an opportunity to develop and build on existing knowledge of using water for labour and birth. It shall also promote the use of active birth techniques for all labouring women focusing on promoting a normal birth and a positive birth experience. Evidence based practice will be emphasized, with particular reference to safe practice. Challenges and potential complications relating to the use of water for labour and birth will be explored and solutions identified.
