Frances King is the Team Leader of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for Tairawhiti District Health.

She is a registered Comprehensive nurse with a post graduate diploma in health science (child and adolescent mental health specialty). Frances has been working within the mental health arena for the past fifteen years in a range of clinical and community settings including adult mental health, early intervention and child and adolescent mental health.

She has experience working with iwi, and geographically isolated populations with multiple complex issues. Frances' clinical practice has involved assessment, treatment and monitoring of mental health issues, risk assessment and Duly Authorised Officer work, education, support, teaching, preceptorship, clinical supervision, and clinical advisor with CASA for the Postvention Support Initiative programme.
