Specialty Orthopaedic Nurse – Orthopaedics.

The role was set up in response to the increase in patients with significant co-morbidities being referred for Orthopaedic surgery needing co-ordination to ensure they are fit for surgery when called for their operations.

I network with other specialty nurses, physicians, GP’s and PHO’s to ensure the patients are in optimum health when called for surgery.

I run the Pre-admission Clinic and work closely with staff of the orthopaedic Ward to ensure the patient’s surgical experience is positive.

My hours of work are Monday – Friday 7.30 – 4pm.
